Health Care to Children: Periodical health check up will be administered to the children of the programme. If any children found with HIV infection regular treatment will be given to increase his body resistance. For all the children separate files will be maintained to secure their health. Youth With A Mission will utilize the service of public interested physicians for the health care of the children.
Educational Assistance to the Children: To give formal education to the children who have completed 5 years will be admitted in the near by schools. To continue their education with out any difficulty Youth With A Mission will support the children in paying school fees, traveling, uniforms, books and note books. The Social Worker and the Community Workers will pay periodical visit and help them to study well.
Vocational Guidance: Children those who are passed high school education will be guided properly for vocational guidance through our counseling centre. The counselor will find the ways and means to put the children to undergo appropriate education. Professionals from different field will be invited for the vocational guidance consultation and help them to choose right studies / course.
Higher/ Vocational Studies: All the beneficiaries will be supported to go for higher education and necessary action will be taken to get all the educational scholarships. The social worker will find the students welfare programme and make the students to utilize it. The intelligent students will be encouraged to join professional courses and make use of their service for the future generation.
Counseling (Children and Parents): Youth With A Missionwill establish a counseling centre with the support of professionals. The professional counselor will be in charge of the centre and other professionals will be coming attending the centre in their prescribed time. Both the children and their parents will be given counseling to overcome the social stigma out of the HIV/AIDS disease. Many families lost their hope and feel ashame of their situation. In this time the counselor will psychological support and get away from their frustration.
Annual Get to Gather: To feel oneness and make social integration among the beneficiaries both the children and their parents annual get to gather will be celebrated. This is will be celebrated during the time of Christmas. All children and their parents will be invited for the get to gather celebration. For the children new colour dress and Christmas gift will be given. For the parents new dresses will be distributed. To feel equality among them selves’ suitable programmes will be conducted on that day. Special lunch and snacks will be given and make the day fruitful.
Family Care- Health, IGP, Counseling: In general HIV/AIDS patients find difficult to get a job or loose their job due to ill health. In this situation they suffer a lot with out regular income. The friends and their relatives reject them due to infection and social stigma. From our observation even the HIV/AIDS patients avoid in visiting their relatives due to non acceptance with this dreaded disease. In considering the critical situation of the family Youth With A Mission will provide monthly assistance for family maintenance. Youth With A Mission will be helpful in all the ways to take care of the health of the HIV/AIDS patients. The Community Workers will be used to take care of the health of the HIV/AIDS. To give regular income to the families of the HIV/AIDS patient’s, suitable income generation programme will be introduced. Normally eatable items will carry good marketing and many people will show interest to buy the home made products. But here we can people will hesitate to by the products which are produced by the HIV/AIDS patients. In order to avoid this situation, Youth With A Mission will introduce the non eatable items like candle; agarpathy, computer sampoorany, and paper cover …etc. Youth With A Mission will get the products and sale to the whole sale shops. The profits incurred out of this work will be distributed to the beneficiaries to give additional income to the families. After a period of one year, Youth With A Mission will discharge the power to sale the product directly by the HIV/AIDS patients. Youth With A Mission will establish a counseling centre to give counseling and guidance to the children and the HIV/AIDS patients. It is a fact that most of the patients feel depression and loose their interest in their normal life. Their children will be disturbed more and find difficult to move with normal situation. In order to give psychological support to the children and the HIV/AIDS patients the counseling centre will work in all possible ways.
Aids Awareness: To give awareness to the general public Youth With A Mission will formulate suitable training programme. For groups like students, women self help groups, truck drivers, people working in different industries and migrants for casual work will be getting awareness about HIV/AIDS.
